THE ELEPHANT STORY
Believe and you can do anything
A man on holiday walked through an elephant camp and he spotted that the elephants weren’t being kept in cages or held using chains. All that stopped the elephants from escaping the camp, was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs. As the man watched the elephants, he was completely confused as to why the elephants didn’t just use their strength to break the rope and leave the camp. They could easily have done so, but instead, they stayed tied to the stake by a small piece for rope.
Curious he asked an elephant trainer why the elephants did not break the rope and escape. The trainer said when the elephants are young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away, so you see the small piece of rope holds them because they believe it does.
Believing you can do something is half way to actually doing it if you continue with the belief that what you want to achieve is possible there is almost always a way to make it so.
Believe you can do anything and you can swim free like our beautiful elephant.
