SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR – Santa Ana, CA

SUMMARY:

Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the computer systems of a stable, privately held, family-owned growing company of 250+.
Participate in an IT Team of 4 and reporting directly to the IT Manager.
Server management is a primary responsibility.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for installing, maintaining and upgrading servers.
Responsible for ensuring the servers are backed up, and that the server data is secure from unauthorized access. Systems administrator will also often perform light programming (usually scripting, which involves writing programs to automate tasks).

EDUCATION:

Must have current MCSE Certification.
Have a 4 year degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS), but not required.
Knowledge of business functions is also important, as is the ability to communicate with other employees in the company in both technical and non-technical roles.
To progress to more senior roles in the future, the systems administrator should have some knowledge of project management.
PMP Certification helpful but not required.
Advanced Degree is not required.

IT MANAGER – Ontario, CA

SUMMARY:

New IT Manager will be in charge of assessing and rebuilding an IT Team for a stable, growing, medium-sized, privately-owned manufacturing corporation with two locations nationwide, and plans to expand to six.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Networking

◦Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting regional infrastructure.
◦Implements network security at the regional level as established by corporate Security Director.
◦Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company's infrastructure, and directs more junior Innovators when necessary.
◦Oversees the administration of the company's WAN.
Telephony

◦Manages and develops upgrades to the company's telephone system at the regional level.
◦Oversees all telephone changes, including routing for seating assignments.
Training & Lab Maintenance

◦Oversees the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software for company training programs and the Learning Studio and provides additional support if necessary.

Internal Systems

◦Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
◦Works with project teams to help implement Internal Systems.

Help Desk Administration

◦Oversees all help desk activities at the regional level.
◦Responds to escalated help desk issues.
◦Oversees the administration and maintenance of our tracking software.
◦Interacts with internal clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.

Asset Management

◦Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.

TECHNICAL WRITER – Los Angeles, CA and NYC, NY

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize material and complete writing assignments; establish technical writing standards such as usage, maintenance and terminology

Edit, standardize or make changes to material prepared by other writers and/or within the organization.

DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - Orange County, CA/Los Angeles, CA

SUMMARY:
The Director IT manages the IT team including overseas IT/IS Team and demands of the IT department, including overseeing/directing the help desk, IT change requests, projects related to the JDE ERP system, hardware/network administration, and systems/application development.  This person will be responsible for maintaining a reliable and highly focused, customer service oriented IT infrastructure in support of the business and ensuring successful completion of projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and coordinate the company’s IT department  in accordance with organizational policies and goals.
  • Ensure the availability and integrity of the US, Asia Pacific, IT infrastructure.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, ensuring high level performance, functionality, and customer service.  This includes performance management, selection, training and organizational structure for the department.
  • Monitor the health of the IT infrastructure to ensure maximum performance levels and is consistently reliable.
  • Oversee maintenance of and enhancements to the IT infrastructure.
  • Provide leadership in the configuration and proper use of the JDE system, monitor its health, and enforce best practices to ensure its continuous reliable operation.
  • Manage IT projects, especially those dealing with JDE, in accordance with the IT Policies and Procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan to restore critical IT functions if they should fail.
  • Ensure that user accounts are maintained appropriately and modified, as necessary, in a timely manner.
  • Gather and analyze information on our current operational procedures and develop recommendations on new and improved systems. 
  • Analyze the needs of the business and implement improved processes through the use of IT and related MFLEX Global IT Departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ten plus years experience working with and/or supporting JD Edwards One World or comparable business system – Oracle, SAP, etc.  Five plus years at a manager or director level.  Knowledge of JDE is critical.
  • Proficiency with the JDE Distribution, Financials and/or Manufacturing modules (specifically Sales Order Entry, Procurement, Forecasting, Inventory, Shop Floor Management, Work Order Processing, Quality, MRP/DRP, Advanced Pricing, General Accounting, A/R and A/P)
  • Excellent communications skills, as candidate will be interacting regularly with all levels of  management as well as with end users.  Bi-lingual, Mandarin/English verbal/written skills required.
  • Disciplined work ethic and the type of personality that would thrive in an autonomous work environment
  • Strong networking and network design experience with LAN/WAN/VPN
  • Strong experience with EMC SAN or other SAN products
  • Strong experience with Cisco firewalls and switches

HELP DESK SUPPORT

SUMMARY

The Help Desk Support receives requests for technical support and provides Level I support for computers,

printers, copiers, and phones as well as, will be responsible for regular computer maintenance and support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, research, and resolve technical issues for end users.  Documents resolution.
  • Manage the phone system installs, updates, adds/removes/changes.
  • Manage & support corporate printers and copiers (both within and outside of Citrix).
  • Build and Manage Ghost images.
  • Build new workstation configurations and deploy new assets.
  • Install and configure software on workstations.
  • Perform basic system administration, including backups, log monitoring, etc.
  • Provide level I desktop support services for end users
  • Monitor and manage Help Desk logs for all user-reported difficulties.
  • Report system outages, incidents, and application problems as they occur.
  • Provide assistance to management on operational issues as requested.
  • Maintain Backup Tapes and Backup Library.

  • Cross-Train on all help-desk support with Systems Administrator.

You must have 2+ years experience in a help desk position within a Windows environment.

JDE SUPPORT ANALYST

SUMMARY

The JD Edwards Support Analyst is responsible for providing daily production support, reporting, documentation and analysis of business

requirements and ongoing enhancements to the JDE One World system. Individual must demonstrate superior customer service and

support by providing timely information and responses to end user needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily support for functional users of JDE applications, specifically supporting Finance and Procurement users
